Part of the private membership club (Riverbend) that I manage in Kohler, Wisconsin. The original house was built in 1923 and the three roofs on the right are from that era. The two roofs to the left were added in 2001 when the house was renovated and converted to a private club.

The original architect, Richard Phillip had always planned to build the addition but it was never done. When the plans were found 75 years later, quite by accident, it was decided to complete the architect's original vision and so the house was effectively started in 1923 and completed in 2001. The blue slate on the addition matches the original almost exactly.

Slight crop, straighten verticals, levels, color balance, cloned out a small piece of branch that was disrupting the sky. Resize and save for web.

Taken on my birthday - 05/05/05!

good clean image but seems to be lacking something!
try maybe playing with levels or bump up the saturation a little.

Could stand a little more punch. If you have photoshop ps, the shadow highlights command will bring out the variations in the grass and roof tiles. Even auto levels will help. Otherwise, using whatever tools you have, adjusting the levels and gamma will help. It is a very lovely building. An 8.
