 I went to the Collection hoping to get a nice picture of “Ferrari Red,” but they were closed. Luckily I went to the back and a lady was pulling her Audio into the Collection’s service garage, in which, this yellow Ferrari 360 Challenge car was beckoning my lens. I walked up to the garage and the guard sternly asked what I was doing in there, I said “I have an assignment to take photos of ‘color,’ and that yellow Ferrari is exactly what I was looking for,” he chuckled and gladly and let me shoot…

The reflection on the windshield keeps this from being absolutely classic. I wish the roof was in here, even if the frong and back ends are not. 8

Someone was lucky enough to get so close to an awesome car! definately meets the color challenge, composition is very good however I just wish the focus were a bit sharper so I could score even higher. Would love to know what race this was in!

I like your choice of subject for this photo and I think color is definitely the primary element here. I do, however, think that the composition isnât as strong as it could be. I find myself wondering why you cropped this picture the way you did. It shows too much to be an abstract but it leaves me wanting to see more as a picture of a car. I would either crop it a lot tighter or show a lot more if it were my picture. The other things might use a little work are the hot-spots and focus. Overall the picture appears to be somewhat soft, maybe a little USM might fix this. The hot-spots on the car take away from the picture for me, I know they are difficult to avoid but you might be able to get rid of them by slightly underexposing and then lightening the picture up in post processing. Also if a flash was used it might help to try ambient light, though this doesnât always solve the problem. I gave this one a 4.
