i definitely know this is not going to score very high due not meeting the challenge subject
i can agree its not a 'clear' triangle u are looking at but rather needs a bit of goodwill and imagination and these qualities are not the strongest features of the majority of the voters here at DP im afraid
but since im aware of this im not going to whine about that
anyway i think this image deserves the views it will get in a challenge

i think the guys who took care of the lights did a hell of a job here
soo basically i just had to do the 'click'
but..it took some courage to step ahead to the stage tho
there were quite some guys with huge cams and dito lenses in front of the stage as the concert was any moment to begin
soo i decided to step up to the central spot in front of the stage..had to make some of the pro's step aside..pulled out my tiny fuji..placed it in the centre of the stage..fumbled around with a folded piece of paper wich i put under my little cam to get it in an apropriete position..made the settings as i thought they were right (diafragma to the max=8/shutter about 2 seconds/colourbalance/manual focus/2sec-selftimer.. and took a few shots
wich all turned out satisfying
..left all the 'pro's' with a frown and went back to my seat in the back
i enjoyed a great night with some awesome music!

ps:turned out i set the wb wrong after all
so basically all i had to to in the postedit was to get as much of the purple fringe out as possible

Didn't vote on it during the challenge (I know... I know it's not nice of me! but I was already reprimended ;-) but thinking of it right now, I guess I would have given it a 6 or a 7.
Several things that I love here:
first - the set-up. The stage is wonderful, the lights are awsome, the composition is a little bit busy but has a very dynamic feel.
In addition - I just love cellos and contrabasses, and would vote high on them any time.
I recognized the 3 microphones right away, got your triangle and loved that out-side of the box thinking.
I also like that alerted anticipation in the photo, as if the instruments are going to start playing any second now, with or without their players.

What lowers this photo's score in the challenge is only the lack in "triangle shape" as the challenge stated.
Other then that this one is a pure beauty!

got ya. nice idea, evocative shot. the purplish glow in various elements of the image, however, doesn't quite work for me. but nice idea and interpretation. 7

If you called this tripod stand I could get this a lot faster, Oh, I sorry, am I supposed correlate this to a trio musical intrauments. OK... whatever. Pretty good image

I didn't think this met challenge. I can not tell from the picture if the three instruments form a triangle or not.

If the composition was a little more triangular... Interesting combination of instruments.

Interesting take on the challenge. The balance is quite good among the elements. Lighting is nice too. But that's it.

since the challenge details were pretty clear about the SHAPE, ("Take a photograph where this basic shape is clearly shown as a key element. This may be a triangular object, or a group of items forming a triangle") I don't think your submission will fare very well. your framing and lighting seem good but it is wasted in this challenge.

im not convinced this relates to the theme...

I can't find any clear triangle here in this photo as a key element, so it doesn't meet the challenge well enough IMHO. But this is a very good photo nevertheless.
