there is so little dof, it is difficult to pick out a focal point of the subject. |

I would have liked to see a clear crisp picture aws apposed to a center focus. I almost did the same shot myself! |

that is nice. i like the focus point toward the middle of the pic. foreground out and background out. i am interested in your camera details and such. |

Need a little more DOF on this one and it's be much better. LIke the concept and the angle is different than all the other crayon/colored pencil photos. Pretty good though. |

I like the way that the pencils 'fade' away. Nice pic |

Very good. I like the mixing of the colours.... though I am curious as to what it looked like with the pencils in shade order.
P.S. Pity that the yellow/lime pencil in focus is showing a bit of its lable. |

Finally! A picture that uses color pencils effectively. I find the left side of the picture just a tad distracting but a great picture anyway. |

The DOF makes the colours vibrates. Outstanding technique |

Very creative idea for the assignment, but I would be interested to see this same photo with a different DOF. Still, a nice shot as is. :)

its cool how narrow the focus area is. nice shot, and well saturated (esp. versus many other submissions where people seemed to have omitted that step). only suggestion might be to use a white or black piece of paper in the top left to more effectively create empty space there. |

some of the pencils are out of focus |

Nice subject, but I think it needs greater depth of Focus. Also the writing on the yellow/green pencil leads my eye away. |

I love the rich, saturated colors in this shot! That said, the DOF is a bit shallow for my tastes... I like the idea of having just the center in focus, but think that the severely unfocused portion of the picture detracts from the overall shot. Just my opinions, though.... take them for what they're worth. |

I like how the middle part is in focus and it blurs on either side |

Pretty colors, light. I like this shallow dof, not everyone does. This is a nice shot. |

I love how the focus leads from both ends - but on either end the focus is TOO blurry and it hurts the eyes. Great shot though. 8 |
