My Opinion-I don't really need to point out the gainy look of this shot. I'm sure you got that point, but I will say like several that I kind of like that here. It's adding to the over all texture of the shot. I do think the shot is dark and needed to adjusted with levels. I am aware that most stairs aren't lit well, indoors. Still you did a great job finding the symbol PI-! Amazing find!! Over all this is good, it's good to look at. Yeah for you.

| Good eye for pi! (hey that rhymes...). I see pi represented by the rails, and to this end this photo does what it sets out to do: show us the pi symbol. I wish it would take me further, though. Perhaps through lighting or different point of view you could take the next leap and show me that we can't escape pi or that some mysterious thing about pi makes it pervasive around us. But I'm going a weird direction. Sorry. I like this shot, especially the tones and grainy nature of it. |

| good reference. probably seen those and never made the connection. good eye. There seems to be a lot of noise through the top half of the picture. Did the flash fire? If it did it must not of covered very well in that upper half. |

| Neat idea for the Pi Challenge, shows some imagination on your part. photograph seems kind of grainy though, good color off the steps, shows some good rust spots off the steel bottom rails, visual impact is not all that stunning, but is acceptable enough for the Challenge. |

| as pi i think its okay - but i can see it (as opposed to some other submissions). as a photo, however, its not very original or compelling in terms of lighting, composition, color, etc. i might have even rotated the photo a bit so that the floor/stairs were off but pi was more like pi, and boosted the saturation to bring the red out of the bricks a bit more. |

good eye for seeing this shape in an everyday object. the quality of the photo is suffering from maybe over processing to compensate for a photo that was dark originally? This would have scored high had it been sharp, clear, and undithered. :0(
But.. again.. great eye for framing and seeing something most would have missed! |
