The Thames Barrier was completed in 1984, to protect London from flooding.

High water level in london have risen by over two and a half feet in the past century, due to the melting of the Polar ice caps.

Interesting shot, and very interesting location. Focus is good, clarity good, but the sky is a bit grainy, which I will attribute to the jpg format. I particularly like the reflection in the nearest building. Could you possibly get a closer shot of that one building and it's reflection. Like this one, overall.

Basically a nice shot - though I wonder how many people will understand about the flood barrier. shame about the cranes - especially when the barrier depends on those clean lines for it's look. And the border's too harsh for me - I'd much rather see one colour only, find this black/white distracting.

I'd shift the whole viewpoint over to the right somewhat. Good light, colour and clarity, though.

I've seen these somewhere before... Don't think they'll do well, as most won't get the connection. Nice color and lighting though.
