Distracting blue platform. I would have just shot the apple and syringe and titled the shot what the sign says.

Laughter gets you a bonus point. The bright blue table seems a little harsh, though, (try dark green instead?) and the apple seems slightly out of focus, like you focused on the board and didn't have enough range to reach it. Try tripod-mounting, and shooting at a higher aperture (f/11 should probably do it).

The blue of the table takes a lot of attention away from the apple, pitty really it's a good view of the apple and nice lighting although the apple itself has a shadow..

the table is too blue (a whole background of that color might have worked but here it just distracts) and the apple is not quite in focus.
