 Okay so these aren't really freshly picked, I bought them at the grocery store, but anyway, this wasn't my original idea for this challenge, but when I got to the farm I was going to shoot at I saw the barn with the wagon wheel leaning against it and the pail and immediately thought of this, the only thing I would have done different is I would have liked to have had a wooden bushel bucket for the apples instead of the pail but one wasn't available, but overall I think the pail works well too, I was going for a rustic country feel and think I achieved it, I love the vibrant colors in this shot and could definately see it hanging in someones kitchen, even if it is only mine! :-)

The only other thing I don't like about it is the couple glare spots on the apples but hope voters are willing to look past that.
Hope others like it as well!

simplicity Yes These are photo's that i would buy. because you have the right attire to accomplish. i would love a copy of this. this photo is a print avaible photo and a top ten photo. nice job 10.

Nice composition. Looks very country. The color in the apples seem to be a little over saturated...could be just me or my monitor. However, I feel that desaturating them a little would make them look more natural. Also, the focus is a little soft. 8

I like the composition for the most part but find that the photo looks a bit soft.

Also (I don't want to seem nitpicky and apologize for this) but the idea is to show fresh apples spilling from the bucket, yes? These almost seem to faux, too waxy supermarket perfect (no stems on some no leaves at all) and it seems to clash with the scene.

The composition and the shot is great though.

This is a wonderful image. The Apple Growers of America need to see this image, they might use it in an add. There is something about these apples, they almost looked candied or something. They don't seem to be as sharply in focus as the leaves around them. I love all the different textures going on in this image, from the fruit to the wood to the leaves to the iron in the wheel and hinge, as well as the galvanized bucket. <7>

I think if this shot would have been taken at sunrise/sunset the lighting would have been much better.
