 This is the monument to all the Texas Heros who bravely fought for independence from Mexico. San Jacinto was after the Battle of the Alamo. Here at San Jacinto Sam Houston and his army won the battle of independence, losing 9 on his army to over 600 dead in the Mexican Army. Santa Anna was captured and a treaty was signed.

I love this photo! The blues are so serene, and the white clouds so contrasting to the dark silhouette. I love the composition of the silhouette right in front of the sun. Beautiful photo! 10
