Location: Kohler, WI - my kitchen
Date: May 16, 2005

 White background with white card all around. On camera flash + SB-800 in slave mode at 1/32 power to the right of the shot. Bounced and reflected off the card at the other side to control the shadows.

Levels, curves, color balance, hue and saturation all adjusted to make background whiter and accentuate the apple (which was sprayed with water)

The cheese was added during the shoot as it needed something more than just the apple. I cut the apple in a feathered pattern and voila!

Probably won't do well but I rather like the simplicity of it. We'll see.

I like this set up. There are only 2 things that I could significantly suggest: The water spots on the bottom (but I know that's hard to deal with in basic editing) and the apples appear to be really close to the background since I can see a hard shadow; granted it's not much of a shadow. All in all I think this is very good and my suggestions are truly just minor little picks. I hope this image does well! :-)

I like the stacking job. GOod touch with the cheese. THe reflections off the apple are a bit distracting though.
