This theme took a little thinking, apples are quite an interesting choice for a subject and since this one didn't smile much, i had to do alot of the work. By placing the apple in between the dandylions i felt it helped the composition by sending the eye back and forth each time passing the apple. And the depth of field helped that process as well. Some vignetting wasused in the top corners to draw the eye down as well. This is my first entry, and i had alot of fun with the theme, can't wait for more.

Interesting.

Too bad that the JPEG artefacts (circles at the left and richt upper corners) draw the attention. I like the limited DOF! Why is the flower at the right not completely in the picture. Compostion is nice but seems not balance somehow..

Very sweet.

A tiny improvement suggestion: an apple closer to the flower on the right and more courageous cropping. But, in spite of this, a beautiful photo!

Nice idee but for me the DOF is too narrow.....

Amazing use of DOF! Love it!

This reminds me of cricket - the two yellow flowers are stumps. I feel the large green space in the upper half of this photo is a waste - like something interesting has been rubbed out with a green eraser.
