I love this photo! The lady in the background is a friend of mine who kindly agreed to help me out with this challenge by being my oh so tempting eyes. Very simple lighting, I used a 40 watt house light with notebook paper in front of it as a softbox and a white poster board on the side as a fill light, I only wish I used more eyelight...DARN! But it still looks great. As for editing, none really, just a crop to get that wide screen look, which I think really helps how the eyes and apple appear. In some ways I don't really think this will do well, yet in other ways I think it could. The frame is unique enough, but I don't show the whole apple, which I know for a fact is a risky thing to do in these types of challenges. I can already hear people saying "The eyes are the subject here, not the apple! I'll give it a 3." But I personally think they are both the subject, at first, I look towards the eyes, but then I see the top of the apple standing between me and her, then I figure out that she is offering it to me. Yep thats right, its an "Adam and Eve" photo where the viewer is supposed to be Adam. This probably has a better effect on men than it does on women!I also have a funny feeling that some people will also say that is looks too soft, and some might even accuse me of bad compression. Personally, I like the softness of the face, looks more glamourish, a desired effect here. Well anyhow enough ranting, I'll just sit back and wait for the comments. |

| Because I noticed the face first, I think the subject wasn't really made the subject. Perhaps if there were more of the apple showing, it would feel more like the subject was apple. |
