Greets from the Critique Club!
Initial Impression:
Interesting, though uninspiring due to the lighting.
Challenge:
This meets the challenge through the combination of image and title. I wish I could see the connection between the pic and the challenge without the title, but with this subject it's rather hard.
Composition:
Placing the barn where you did in the picture is a good idea though I would have liked it more if it was on the other side of the frame (Leaning into the picture as opposed to out of the picture).
Technical:
This is my biggest complaint - the lighting is fairly flat and pretty uninspiring. The midday sun is harsh on subjects and here it's no exception. Early morning or late afternoon sunlight is often the best to work with. My other complaint is the focus feels rather soft.
Overall:
Solid idea, technical issues let you down. You should go back to the same location near sunset or sunrise and take some more photographs.. this is an interesting subject! Show it off! |

Interesting photo. The background structures give it a good balance. |

Uh oh, Toto! Looks like we're not in Kansas anymore. (Actually, this looks like we could very well be in Kansas!) Only a 7 because it's too dark on the front of the barn. |

Interesting shot, nice colours but not quite sharp. Refreshing change from all the sky photos. Good luck. |

Ha ha. Ooops. I hope this isn't your place. I think you cropped this one a little too close to the top of the barn. |

You live in a scarey place! Nice shot though maybe just a little out of focus, but good cropping. |

At least this hip-shot barn kept its verticals. |

Oh? Just looks like it's falling over. What I mean is, I don't think you need to be quite so explicit in your title. ;-) As to the shot: I find the other buildings distracting somehow, and the light quite flat - as in uninteresting. It maybe the focus, but there's a lack of texture here too. IMO. |

I love the way you captured the houses in the background, it is a good reference. |

Cool shot for the challenge. Could probably stand a better title... |

This fulfills well the effects of weather, sometimes very unpleasant! |
