I just found this by accident - it really is a well done image, with wonderful soft lighting and a clear (at least to me) link to the challenge executed in an unexpected way. Should definitely have ranked much higher. |

{{{heavy sigh}}} I am completely surprised at how low this placed...wait...I 'm not surprised at all really...{{{yet another sigh}}} Appalling really...this is a wonderful image...this transcends the all too common...this is art.
I also can't believe I'm the only person who gave this a 10.{{{ugh}}}

I wonder how many will get the Great Expectations title? Imaginative. |

I do not understand what you're trying to tell me. The photo is okay technically but less direct lighting from multiple sources could have improved it. Maybe this is a cultural thing ... maybe if I were better acquainted with Dickens or remembered Great Expectations better, then maybe I'd resonate with it. |

Very imaginative! You've added real interest to this subject! (Is your title taken from Dicken's "Great Expectations"?) |

I am compelled to vote high on this picture, not only for the sheer fact that I loved Great Expectations and the character Miss Havisham, but also because it is a wonderful picture! It captures the madness that was her character, and I love the way the eyes seem to hollow out because of her depression and emptiness (whether it was done intentionally or not). Well done! |
