 Created a light-pipe using a laser pointer and a vase with a hole drilled in it.

Where you see the red laser light is where the angle that the light is striking the edge of the water is so great, that the light escapes. Where it is clear (you don't see the laser), the light is being reflected back into the light-pipe (water stream).

Curves adjustment, cloned out some imperfections on the glass, boosted red just a bit, very slight USM.

This could use some more contrast, and the laser could be brought out more. I barely see it.

Since you asked on the thread...I gave this a 7, but primarily on the strength of your attempt. I liked the idea. For it to have been more effective for me, I'd have wanted a more striking difference between the water stream and the water in the jar. Lighting shifts could have emphasized this more. The overall image is also quite dark, and I felt the mood would have benefited from a different lighting set up. But like I said, I was one of your 13 7s, so I did like this enough.
