 Happen to go to a kite festival this weekend. Someone had constructed this near the water's edge where he put out a bucket for donations to the Children's Lukemia fund. It took him three hours to pack a sand mound for the sculpture. Then it took about another four hours to sculpt.

The people in the background distract from the photo. I would have waited until they were out of the picture. Good looking Sand Castle.

The composition might have been stronger if the shot was kept to just the castle. The people and ropes in the background are distracting.

Nice. Rather than trying to get the whole deal (with the distracting background) you might consider just focusing on a portion. Quite a structure.

From a different angle! This could have been a fantastic image from a different perspective, the ribbon and people sure spoiled it...

This is a good entry. It woud be great if your composition was a bit better. Removing the backgroud distractions! The partial boat, the people draw the eye away from the sand castle. All the best.

great castle....too bad you couldn't get it without the people....and from a higher angle so as to preclude the boat. Would have been a much much higher score. If you built the castle, it gets a 10.
