Hi there!
I thought about doing rock candy, but couldn't find any. This is a nicely colorful shot. The idea is good, but there are some flaws. The focus is not sharp anywhere. At least a part of the image should be clearly focused. Also the composition suffers from the out of focus background. Don't know what it is...almost looks like an olive.
If you'd cropped out that section on the right, with the bg on down, the composition would work better.
I think because of the colors and texture you should work with this subject again. The potential is there.

| With this particular subject I'd prefer a deeper DOF -- at least on the crystals, which I think i/we expect to see sharp. I like the sticks OOF, so I guess I'd have tried to arrange the pieces so some of each color was in the focal plane. Good concept, nice colors. |

| Very bright, colorful image! Focus seems strongest on the light blue stick, with weaker focus on the other colors. These look very interesting, maybe a macro of just one might have worked easier. Took me a while to figure out that the wooden pieces went with the candy. 6 Swash |

| I think having a stronger color up front and in focus (ie, the red) would have made this a more commanding composition. |

| These....not sure what they are called, rock candy? Anyway they do make an interesting shot. Blast of colors.....pretty work. |
