 First small venue band I have ever shot. The lighting here was an incredible challenge, coming only from the left side of the members and often casting horrible shadows, causing half the image to be over exposed and the other half to be under.

Lighting was difinitely the key factor in this shot and also the most challenging.

I have a new and profound repect for the people who do this on a regular basis. It ain't easy. You have no control over the lights or subject, choosing only the angle and moment to shoot, while capturing the emotion at just the right time and during it all getting the right exposure.

I will do this again.

interesting post for theme, don't like ear shots, takes away from the dimensional value, lighting ok, color ok, crisp,

I don't know where you're from, but in Canada a "dirty sanchez" isn't a term we throw around *giggle* sorry, a cultural difference apparently!

The angle is bad to me, flash to direct, and grain problems in shadows.
