When I saw the thumbnail, I was like--what the? It's a black square. Wow.
So I opened it, and now I think I'll have to say wow without the sarcasm. :)
Very nice work. The grain does make this shot, I think. And the side lighting, too, makes it feel kinda mysterious. I love candids that seem to tell a story, and this one certainly does.
edit to add WHY I think it's awesome...sometimes I can be such an airhead.

I think most people don't get to see it with all the crappy monitors people have...
But I love it! It is just wonderful!
Yes, I agree that the grain adds a lot to it, but the lighting is great and and I love the negative space and the pose...
well I love everything about this one! |
