This is actually a very beautiful picture. I really like the soft focus, unfortunatly I have no idea how this relates to the challenge.

I don't see how this photo will do well in this particular challenge, though it certainly is a beautiful photo. Very soft, very warm with great use of light. Just don't think it conveys "granular" enough to do well.

Beautiful soft-lit composition. I am sure there is grain somewhere but my pesky monitor doesn't show it.

Father what now? Perhaps if I understood the subject it would be a great photo. I like the soft focus and the bowl/basin/what-have-you is positioned nicely. I'm not seeing granular matter though...

You've polished too hard, all granula has gone, nice photo though
