Technically a nice shot....good exposure and sharpness. Certainly a nice looking dog, but IMO there's really nothing special or exciting about the photo. The lighting seems nice and even, but somewhat flat...no nice highlights or interest. I would also prefer the dog's head to be more in the right of the frame - a little less centered. He / she really looks like a nice companion, though, and I think it's a good fit for the challenge. Hopefully the "no pets no kids" crowd won't knock you too hard!

Tones and color are very nice. Just wish the dog's head wasn't so centered.

Beautiful dog! I like the eye color so different. The weak point in this picture is the empty space on the left if you cropped a bit off it and maybe little of the bottom the dog would be much stronger.
