| Nice capture of different tpes of granularity. I don't know if I like having wood as the background (although it too has a granular sort of texture). |

| Meets the challenge and you can spell but I don't find the subject holding my interest. Focus and DOF are fine. The single bright light on the right over powers the photo. Multiple light sources might have helped some. The angle of the shot from above could be improved by lowering the camera and shooting at a shallower angle. |

| a touch more even lighting, or perhaps putting the dark grains in the lighter area of the photo |

| very nice but I'm begging for it to be evenly lit. the right is very bright and the left is very dark. If you did this trying to make a statement don't be so ovbious about it or at least put the black letter farther right so it doesn't get lost in the dark to light gradient |

| Good take on the challenge. The grain of the wood kind of distracts and you lighting could be a little more even. |
