Looking around my yard for an entry for the Granular Challenge I found these two small ant mounds. I guess they had abandoned these two holes, because I saw no activity.

I feel like I'm peering into eyes. A little disconcerting. Not bad, but offputting. Perhaps angling the camera so the holes would've been more diagonal would've been favorable
