This type of shot would be so perfect as a book cover, with the text in the upper section.
Pretty cool macro sher - not a DPC mass appeal as you already know due to your style,
but I'm glad to see you have stayed with your own path, rather than losing the feel and shooting only for the voters.
btw -get all the sand out of your drawers after taking it? LOL |

I am confident that someone of your artistic aptitude will not find discouragement in your placement for this challenge. As I was going through the results I thought, "How would Henri Cartier-Bresson have fared in the challenges at DPC?" Not too well, I am afraid. I have said I would rather one person NEEDED to see my photograph than one thousand who liked seeing my photograph. If no one else, I needed to see this photograph. Thank you. |

Is this an abstract of railroad tracks? I like it just as an abstract, and the sand clearly meets the challenge. Hope it does well. |

A very compelling image. Certainly more thought-provoking than most of the rest. Good work! |

Intriguing, almost abstract image of a rope on the beach. Feels a touch tilted but I love the way the rope leads me in. Nicely toned too. |

I suppose the shallow DOF was intentional, but it is too shallow for my taste. There is just too little in focus for me to resonate with. The title is confusing as well suggesting my head go one way but the image taking it in another direction. |

it could have been cropped so the background dosnt fight for all the attention |

On the thumbnail this caught my eye. I like the tones, but I am not sure that there is enough of the image in focus to hold my interest. |

I would have liked a bit more of the rope to be in focus. |

Love the lines, shapes and gritty feel to this composition. One of my top 10 picks. |

I didn;t feel that the focal point was sharp enough to pull of the very shallow DOF. I love the comp and idea. |
