A schooner makes the decision to forego right of way rules in deference to a freighter leaving the San Francisco Bay at dusk.

Neat Image, sharpened, added border, save for web.

I don't know why the smaller version shows the color stratification so poorly, the full sized one shows no visible juntions in color of the hazy sky.

Powerful image. Maybe with a little cloning and spot editing the small dark spots could be eliminated. The lighting and composition is awesome. Nice photo.

Fantastic shot, great mood and light - pity about the dirt like stuff around the sailing boat.

Beautiful composition and a peaceful negotiation of right of way. Safe trip.

could be a little crisper but a neat idea that fits the challenge well

Best shot in the challenge..especially since I grew up sailing and know that even though the sailboat has the right of way, you don't enforce it against a large ship...the tonal quality, the positioning of the ships and the eerie, misty quality is excellent-provides a lot of mood; I like that the sky and sea mirror the same quality of color at top and bottom of frame.

Oh Wow! I love misty pictures like this!!!! The lighting is off the chart in the "cool" factor! And I love how it looks like you can see the water splashing up around the big boat. This is just an awesome photo! 10

What an intersting pattern of light. Are those speckles birds?

I don't feel that the image conveys instantly recognizable decision. Great pic though, I love it.

Great image but not completely relevant to the challenge topic. It seems like you took a nice image and tried to just make it work with the challenge....If the challenge were "Intimidation" or "Opposites" this would have ribboned. The fact is, I don't see "decision" in your photograph....your title tries to make it work but...

Like the photo, is that dirt/niose around the sails? Good luck

Nice idea. I see major compression problems unless my monitor is way off.
