I think this was underrated. The technical aspects of this are better than most while still maintaining a "weather"-like theme. That's my opinion, for what it's worth. |

This is a very nice black and white image... It doesn't seem to show weather or the effects of weather though... it does 'suggest' a weather theme maybe... - setzler |

very original, very cool, looks old and beautiful, the lighting is great, maybe cropped a little to much...would have liked to see the whole handle...still a 10 cause the mood in this one is fabulous...well done... |

This is one of those people might vote down because it doesn't actually show weather happening. Not me! This screams weather to me. (Crummy weather, too!) 7 |

Interresting interpretation of the challenge. In all a good shot. Is it possible to get the whole thing into the shot? |

I like the simplicity of this, and I think the bw works well. Being nitpicky, I think an unwrinkled umbrella wouldn't look quite so "unused" |

Good idea, and well composed! B&W works here, would love to see the color version too though. |

Crop is too tight in the corners (especially upper right). Otherwise good. |

I really like the simplicity of your picture. Black and White works perfectly here. One of my favorites this week. Great job. |

Interesting shot. I like the attempt to fill the frame with the umbrella, but the top and the handle are cut off. The unlevel line at the back also takes away from this photo. |

Simple yet effective. Would have liked to see the whole handle in the shot. Still will done and converted to b/w. |

Nice! The cropping of the picture, however, could have been relaxed just a little bit. Part of the handle is cut off by the border. Background might have been a little more interesting...perhaps the umbrella could have been propped up against a brick building on a sidewalk. It may have been distracting, but just a thought. Otherwise, the photo is well done. Lighting and focus are good |

Nice shot, but in my mind a bit of the stretch to meet the challenge. It isn't weather, or an effect of weather, more an object used in weather. But you could have taken a picture of many things in that case. A coat, mittens, shoes, a frisbee, picnic basket.. Lot of objects we use in different types of weather, but not weather. Marks for the quality of the photo though. |

I like the idea, but I find the cropping is too tight. You've chopped bits of the umbrella and handle off. |

Hum, this is a good idea-but: the crop is a bit tight. Maybe not for the print. Also the wrinkles are a bother. Maybe you can fix in Photoshop? I do love the light, the focus and the idea. |

Lighting is O.K., but I don't like your composition / cropping. |
