Guess I'm the odd guy out in the crowd.
Technically the shot has a lot of merit in the lighting & levels, pose is not to my liking, but that's me.
What does bug me here is the look in her eyes. There is a somewhat "stoned" look in my opinion, and that coupled with the pose, makes the overall appearance look a bit, and forgive my being blunt here, trashy.
An attractive woman's face simply lights up with a genuine smile.
Perfect example of what I am referring to is a shot in your wonderful porfolio:
Just my personal opinion, and my step out on the limb of honesty.

Obviously with 9 people giving this photo a "1", it touched more than a few nerves. :)
I titled this "where to look" due to a couple of the small distracting elements in the photo (including the bunny ears, naval piercing, decorated nails, and stretched bottoms - and that's simply a shadow folks, not hair), but also because I thought the model had a sort of "where do I look" look. |

Where to look?
Well..... (I'm in the mood to be a bit picky)
On the whole you think, wow, what a beauty!
But when you look better at all the parts you wonder what actually the beauty is.
Her face is rather long and in this expression lacks emotion because of the huge space beneath her eyes. The bra is a bit large/long in relation to her breasts. Her tummy is rather flat and lacks interest apart from the piercing. The legs are quite normal and the arms look skinny. And the transition between tummy and legs is a bit short for my taste and the width of her tummy does not look good with the width of the torso above it.
But why then, when you look at the whole picture, the mind says "beauty". Is it a man thing, is our brain really somehwere else? :)
Photographically I like it a lot. There is a nice balance between dark and light. The face stands out with the locks of hair. The pose is pretty dynamic and daring. 8

Find it hard to say why I dislike this photo. Maybe it's because I can't find any beauty in piercings, maybe it's the way she looks, maybe it's just it being an erotic photograph, but the expression on her face doesn't match the body language, don't know, maybe it's all of that together. 3 |

Nice model, great pose, beautiful lighting, good background color. Belly ring thing is distracting & I would rather see her belly unadorned. |

the hot pink background is perfect for this seductive shot. I think you're going right past beauty and colliding with lust. |

A lovely sexy shot. A fine lighting tweak will correct the only minor distraction as the light shadow grow ambiguous at the bottom joint of the right inner shoulder. This may be due to posture upon leaning against the backdrop. Outside of this, the model is attractive and the pose provocative. Bump. |

an extremely beautiful model (please pass on my admiration) , but I would have like to have seen less of her. Yes, less. Cropped a little closer, into a square image, just above the waist, would have been a stronger image in my view. Its always bad to crop an image at a joint as you did here with her knees. I hope at some point you will be doing a close up of her face, as it is simply radiant. Would love to see those incredible blue eyes! <7> |

You think this is beautiful? Well... I have to agree. :) Who can resist a hot looking blond? I like the lighting, and the background fits her look. Well done! |

Exceptionally well setup image. Good lighting. One of the best images of the challenge. Very professional look with your model's pose and the way the red background gives way to the dark shadow on the left. I'd clone out the rabbit ears emerging from the bra and the slightly dark shadow on the red just right of her forearm. I'm probably not keeping up with the times but navel jewelry is a distraction in this image to me. You capture beauty in a very erotic and effective way. Great job. |

That doesn't say beauty to me, personally...in a weird way, almost the opposite. Sort of like showing a picture of McDonald's for "fine dining"...I don't mean that as a derogatory comment to the model (or the photographer), as she could be beautiful. I just mean that this photo looks like the cheap, shallow counterpart to 'beauty'.
Technically, the photo seems good. |
