Much of the image lacked detail. I like the colors of the flowers, but if the image were clearer I would have probably rated this one higher. Maybe a tripod would have kept the image tighter.

Nice idea. Colors seem a little over-saturated, and I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be focusing on. The grave marker in front of the potted plants? (that's where the focus of the camera seems to fall) If so, a slightly different angle so we could see more of it would be good.

I don't feel that the image conveys instantly recognizable decision. Good try, good pic.

I feel like the decision should be clear without having to read the title. In this case, it isn't, so even though it's a nice picture in its own right, I don't think it meets the challenge well...

This to me, would almost imply that giving service to the country results in death. I'm not sure if this is a clear choice for the topic. 4
