the colors here even in death are truly beautiful

If it wasn't blurred in some parts I would have really scored it high

Beautiful details and colors. It's rating 8 for me here, and would have been higher but for three minor (but crucial) points: 1) the red on the left upper corner, which I think competes too much with the pretty purple and yellow tones, 2) the flare on the right hand side, and 3) the bit of green on the lower left, coupled with the visible strands of cobweb (?).

Conceptually this is exceptionally nice, but there's a harsh garishness to it that isn't working that well for me. Also, the yellowish central portion of the image is out of critical focus, and yet that's the area our eyes are migrating to, so more DOF or focusing in a bit would have helped a lot here. The reddisha rea upper left is a real eyetrap also. This being advanced editing, it would have been easy to desaturate that area so it faded back a bit, and this would have been a plus. Still, a nice, strong image and a good score from me.

IMO, I don't think it is beautiful. Nice try.

Absolutely breathtaking. I almost had to take a step back from the monitor. Quite a different take on a flower macro and so refreshing. The colors and textures are stunning. This is a marvelous accomplishment. I hope it finishes at least top 10.

Love the textures and colors you've captured here, but think the focus needs to be deeper

All good things must come to an end - though hopefully not your photography. This is a really interesting photo - different to others in tehchallenge. I like the colour of the flower and how it contrasts with the green stem. Very nice. The pink is a little distracting.
