 I was pleased that I captured this sweat bee gathering pollen on the nature trail the other day. Yup, I do consider the little green guy a beauty, especially set against the blossom ;)

I'm pretty sure I'll hear about the shallow DOF... pfft. **I like shallow DOF** :P

Wow! Great macro. I'll be interested to se the lens or lens combination you used for this. Clarity and DOF is excellent. I love the pollen on his/her nose.

Interesting subject, bugs aren't the high point of beauty in my opinion, but I won't take away points for that. This image could be improved by having a sharper focus on the bug and the inner parts of this flower. Overall a fairly good shot.

Very nice with the contrasting colors. You could probably crop out the focused stamen on the left side, so the only thing sharp is the wasp- it's a little busy over there.

I don't like how the flower is blocking the insect, and out of the field of focus. If you could have captured this guy from another angle, it would be much better.

Amazing clarity and detail!! Good composition and beautiful colors. The left antennae is slightly out of focus, but that's the only thing anyone could possibly find to gripe about! DOF is very well done indeed.

Bit to much contrast but what a color. It is artistic but not well enough detailed where it should like around the insects face. But this is difficult to get so I know it is something special, but having all this food around your face...

This would have been a much stronger shot if the bee was in front and not obscured. Nice shot though.
