Greets from the Critique Club!
I really like this image, it's nice and simple. The exposure is great and the focus is superb. The only thing that I can really nitpick on is the composition. For some reason I feel like I want to see more on the right hand side of the frame. Maybe the whole of the shadow?
The colors are wonderful though the leaf at the bottom is just a tad distracting. Overall, this is a really good photo that deserved the high score it got. Congratulations!

Very nice. I like the use of the shadow in this photo. Sets it apart from a lot of others. It's a good, artistic photo with great lighting and a gorgeous background of leaf litter. I'm giving it 10. |

Very cool concept, composition. I'm not sure, but I think it may be a bit oversharpened? |

really like the effect of including the shadow. nice detail in the petals of the flower. I'm wishing the leaf was not there, but.. ... |

Very nice....used to have these in upstate New York. Dunno if they're here in Florida. You captured nice detail, and the shadow adds to it!! |

I like how you added interest to the flower by including the shadow. The backround also helps to identify that this is a wild flower. |

I like what I see here, the flower is very sharp and detailed. The background is a little to loud though - 8. |

Interesting color combinations. I didn't like it at first, but as I type my comments it grows on me. New flower growing on bed of dead leaves. You've told a nice story and conveyed your vision (if I guessed it) well. Composition is also very well done here to have framed the flower (without cutting off its leaves) and its shadow. |

Excellent.
The browns really set off the white petals well, and the shadow is a great touch.
Getting rid of the green leaf is the only thing I would change about this shot. Well done. |

Interesting... I love your focus on the flower... and nice putting in the shadow... however the dullness of the dead leaves in the background draws me away from the beauty of the flower. I guess it's also interesting though because it's like white (purity) and black (death) it kind of makes a statement. It's very interestingly composed... hmmm... I think I'll give it a 7. Good luck |
