Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Gordon...
I think my earlier comment briefly sums up my opinion on this photo. Looking into this image, I feel like I'm viewing from the perspective of another bug. The shallow depth of field in this shot creates an interesting surrealism to add to that perspective. Your interest in the 'dream' theme definitely stands out nicely in this photo.
I particularly like the red on green color scheme in this photo as well. This is a complimentary color combination is appealing to my eye and it serves the subject well by creating a pleasant contrast in the image.
The perspective and composition in this image separates it from the mundane 'documentary' style view and creates a strong feeling of being a part of the environment rather than viewing it through some window.
I wouldn't change anything about this image... great work as usual :)

Too bad you didn't use a bit more DOF. |

wonderful shot. great color, depth of focus, and detail. i probably would have over saturated this shot and it maybe could have been boosted a bit, but still - great job! |

Now THAT's a narrow depth of field! |

Very interesting shot! Color is fantastic, and the contrast between the red and green works very well. |

This is excellent work... looking into this image, i feel like *I* am another bug who is surveying an intruder on my own territory. The softness of the image adds to the interesting perspective... great work :) - 10 - setzler |

Wow. Totally awesome shot. Perfect exposure, focus and composition. The rich saturated greens of the grass contrast so nicely against the colors of the bug. Congrats on a great shot. 10 |

Nice work - though not quite sharp. |

Good macro. Would like to see a tighter crop on the bottom. Nice color. |

Nice composition. The viewer is attracted immediately to the main subject.
The depth of field seems to be in the wrong place. Too much of the plant and not enough of the insect is in focus. |

Wonderful! The DOF has isolated your subject perfectly. The color combination is awesome, an excellent image. |
