Just in time to miss the Bird challenge ... my son saw a bunch of wild turkeys this morning when golfing with a friend, but I missed out. |

To me...this image just seems to be a little too busy. too much to look at. The "frame" is behind the main subject, and I think this hurts the overall image, in terms of the challenge. Otherwise, a wonderful shot of a turkey. <5> |

Looks a little too heavy on the saturation. Makes it look like a setup in a museum. |

The bumped up greens are quite jarring to my eyes, and overall, there's a lot of competition here for the image's focus point (as in a lot of distractions and my eyes don't immediately settle on the turkey. There also seems to be a slight blur, as if the turkey was in motion, that could have necessitated the use of faster shutter, etc. Why not bigger aperture and deeper bokeh? Nice turkey, though. Yumm... |
