The Getty Museum is a construction marvel. I was more impressed with the architecture than some of the artwork inside. I shot this straight up through an overhang grate outside from below the second floor.

I like the composition on this photo. You have an arrangment of interesting objects to capture the eye's attention. The curve of the lines on the roof as the flow diagonally across invokes fluid motion - one that the eye follows and appreciates. Next to it the viewer can take in the sights of the blue sky and clouds. I know that this may not have been possible or you may not have had the time. But I wonder if you could have waited a little while such that the clouds were arranged all in the lower left hand corner. In that way it would look like the white clouds were a 'front' moving in on the 'weather front' of the "white curve' roof. A visual of a natural weather front going up against a man-made 'weather' front. Again it may not have been possible due to mother nature not being the best model to work with:-) and time constrants.

I love everything about this! The curves, the sky, everything. If you had put this in the leading lines challenge you would have gotton GREAT scores. This is a great angle.

Hi Judy, this is a great shot. It could be sharper. I suspect the reason for the score is that it doesn't scream "construction." Keep up the great work!

Shame it isnt a bit sharper, I really like the composition and subject. The abstract quality really makes it stand out.

wouldve rated this a 10 if the sky was brighter, seems you added a blue cast to it... white clouds would of done wonders with the steel! also wouldve liked to see the steal shine better as well, and sharpened up. Still a neat photo

Nice image, but my interpretation of the theme of construction is present tense.

This is a beautiful shot, but I don't see the construction...this looks built! All in all this is a nice photograph, but it seems more suited for a lines or an architecture challenge. Who knows? Maybe I'm being too critical...all the same, good luck!
