Very simple, but that's what I like about it. I love the BW decision. Thanks for the DOF, keeping everything nice and sharp.

I want to cry...I want to cry buckets and then leave DPC...where's my valium?
I want to say this is a really bad image..I want to give you a 1 and sleep soundly tonight..but I can't...I hate you...A lovely crisp B &W...with detail and texture and did I mention I hated you? I love the peeling paint ( and hate you)..it's graphic, it's beautiful reminds me of Lewis Hine's work and I HATE you 10:))

I like the way you filled the frame on this one. Even the fiber on the rope is visible. What iso setting did you use? I think a shot in all available ones, then choosing the least noisy one would have improved it. Also when you take several shots of the same subject, use a tripod so you don't change the composition you've chosen.

such a cold looking shot. makes me want to put my tongue on the pole. could you have left some of the rope's color in?

Do you notice the sharpening halos around the pipes? Otherwise a nice photo.

Nice gray-tones and overall composition. Where is the tree? I don't get that. Pretty nice though.

Really looks oversharpened to me (or was shot at too high contrast adjustment.) White haloing around everything hurts the inherent value in the excellent composition of this shot. Soft does not always equal bad. Just should have let this image stand on its own merits before USM was introduced. 6.
