 Could of shot this in daylight, but I wanted to try it at night to really emphasize the lights. I envisioned the 'mood' or 'feel' set by the contracting lights in the surrounding darkness. Although it looks kind of noisy or grainy (due to my very poor :-( camera), I actually think it kind of adds to this particular shot. I think the idea, or concept, message of the shot is pretty obvious.

In ps- cropped, usm, levels adj. and bright/contrast adj., resized.

I really love the title...as silly as that might sound, but it actually made me like this image more...go figure. I really like the grit and grain of this image, it has a really nice late night feel about it...you've captured that ugly ominous yellow glow perfectly.

I like your fulfilment of the theme. Its a little dark though, seems like you could bring more detail out.

Brilliant title, one of the funniest I have seen in a long time and it took me a second to get it. However, this is a photography contest and this one is not bad at all, but the image quality is pretty awful, the colour noise in the shot is very bad and it kind of ruins it for me personally, if the image quality had been good I probably would have given it a 7 or even 8.

Oh I love the title! "The Oracle" and then on the sign it says "Lane Closures Ahead." If it weren't for the title I wouldn't have had such a solid idea of what you mean. I figure that this is kind of stating that the end is near. Or that we're going to have to change our ways and get out of our cars and walk. Really cool idea.
