DURING THE WAR YEARS, THE COAST GUARD WOULD PATROL CAPE COD BEACHES ON FOOT. THEY WOULD WALK FROM ONE POINT TO A HALF-WAY HOUSE, MEETING ANOTHER GUARD COMING FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THEY WOULD THEN RETURN TO THIER ORIGINAL STARTING POINT.

Great colors, nice sunlight (setting?) against the clapboard siding.
Looks like a painting more than a photo. Very nicely balanced. Thanks for adding the historical comment.
