To me this is hard to look at. My eyes keep trying to focus the crane. If this is what you were trying to accomplish... I have a headache already.

I like the concept of viewing the construction behind the fence, Here I think the depth of field is a little distracting. I might prefer seeing the construction in focus and the fence somehwhat fuzzy.

Interesting photo. I think most people would see a fence such as this as an obstruction or hinderance to trying to get their shot. I like how you've creatively overcome that by using dof to incorporate it in your photo. The way you've done this, I feel like I am standing there at the fence looking through at this construction site. Very nice job.
