 Just an old crane out on my mail route. I see it everyday that I work & think to myself I would like to go take some shots of it but I never do, well now I had an excuse. It would have been a much better picture it all the shrubs & grass had not grown so much but oh well timing for this contest was not so great.
Cropped & changed the brightness & contrast a little.

The sky is quite bright and for me, drowns out the subject. Is the "giant" in focus?

Felt that the image was too bland. Needs more snap. Contrast could be higher and saturation could be better. Should be able to do with your editing program. Also your file size was very small. We have 150 KB to work with so use it as far as you can go.

The picture is a bit "flat". When you are closer and make the picture in the direction of the cables it would be more appealing (I hope).

There's a lot going on here. It's a bit difficult to see the story in this image. Maybe another angle help in seeing the construction angle. Still, it's a good photo.

Thats a great subject to work with, but the shot doesnt really jump out and grab me and I am not sure how I would have done any different. Maybe another angle. Great find though.

Sky is a bit too oversxposed to me. Looks like nice cloud modifiers too.

I like it. I think a closer/different angle that gave more of the crane in the shot would have been cool.

I wouldn't have expected this picture to convey any emotion, but as I look at it I get a sense of abandonment. Nice subject (& a great title).
