The eye gets lost in the black feathers... I presume that was the central focus of the photo.

Perhaps a bit too close - showing his/her beak in full would have made a better shot.

Wow. A little too close for my taste. Birds like this (or anything for that matter) with such strong blacks and whites are very difficult to expose properly. you did a pretty good job keeping much of the detail - I applaud you for that. 7 - good luck in the challenge!

the eye is lost in the midst of the head. Using fill flash would reallt have injected a bit of life into it 5

I like that you took a risk here, congrats to you. nice job, a shot like this should be crystal clear and yours is.

very nice detail, in the feathers and water drops. It would be nice to see a little in the eye but a very nice pic.

Good idea, well executed. Sharp, good colours. Not too excited about the composition though.

I personally don't care for the close crop of this image, but that is only my opinion.

How did you get the swan to sit still while you sprayed water on him ;)

good detail and clarity but I believe you zoomed in so close that you lost your composition...

Zooming out a notch and angling the camera with a tilt to acquire more bill would have done this shot much better IMHO

Excellent. One of the few 10's. Love the water droplets. Love the tight shot.
