| The focus isn't doing my eyes much good. The top left corner also has a bright spot that you might have cropped out. |

| Honestly, this image is not in focus, even for a silhouette. There is potential here, but I think reshooting with a tripod or a higher ISO would greatly improve the image. Also, size is an issue - if you could recrop some of the bottom out and make it bigger I'm sure it would open up the image. Right now, with all the black and the funky frame it seems a little claustrophobic to me. Good luck in the challenge! |

| There are 4 things that hurt this photo in my opinion. There appears to be a halo around the bird, probably a post processing artifact. The photo is essentially a silhouette, but the positive/negative space isn't that interesting. Focus is very soft, too soft for my taste. And the border detracts. Sorry to sound negative, but maybe the comments will help you next time. |

| if you are new to photography, i'd work on it's basics before delving into the intricate features of photoshop such as bevel. if you are going for the brown you're a stronger person than me.-3 |

| Quality issues are the main problem for me here - there are pale halos around the dark edges, the focus doesn't seem great either. Nor is the silhouette ideal as there is too much foliage competing with the bird. The border is also not appealing to me. |

| The quality of this image is very poor in my opinion, the focus is extremely soft, and there seems to be alot of noise. |

| This does meet the challenge, and for that I give you marks. But the blurriness of the photo and the darkness of it are real distractions to me (IMHO). Also, the border doesn't seem to add anything to this particular shots (and I do like borders when used effectively). I can almost see how you may have been going for a silhouette effect, but there's just enough detail & color visible to make it not work for me. And again, I think if it were in focus, it would have scored MUCH better. Cool idea, I just think that this particular shot may not have done what you hoped. Sorry (3). |

| Way over sharpened, the purple is killing the shot. Nestime desaturater the purple and or darken it to match the black. |

| This is a good idea however the image has either been blown up way too much, oversharpened or both. There is a lot of cromatic aberation (CA) present around the edges of the birds and the branches at the top. |
