Composition - This is a very nice portrayal of the texture of this flower. I think the thought that really keeps coming back to me is Simplicity. This is really basic and very effective without too much background or potential multiple subjects. It really has focus, in terms of the viewers attention (as opposed to optically). There is no doubt what the viewer will be looking at when viewing this photo. I think that is something that is very often overlooked. I think myself as a viewer, I want to feel first and think later. You make me think first and chances are I will not be as apt to vote as high. But this is a feel first think later sort of picture.
Technical - This is a pretty well taken photo. Nicely focused. The slight angle is good. I think a little more angle would've been a little better and maybe if it went up just a bit higher too. The DOF is great. The background is a nice color except for the little bit of darkness in the top left corner. Nicely taken photo.
Overall - This is a really nice photo and I'm glad it did well for you. The texture of the single petal is very well portrayed. Good job and good luck in your future challenges - Inspzil |

| Endlessly fascinating, the light in this photo is amazing and is an accomplishment unto itself. It emphasizes both the large outer petal and the complex inner part of the flower, The leaves in the background steal some of the focus away from the flower, I feel, where I want to only look at the flower itself. |

| Peace lily? I didn't know they were called that. Interesting, learn something everyday. I like your shot, but think the leaf in the b\g is distracting the focus of the main peace lily. |

| Lovely and soft image. I would have 10'ed it except for the harsh light at the top of the flower. The lighting is a little too extreme between the top of the flower and the bottom - 9. |

| This is a little underexposed with some relatively very bright light pulling me away from the subject. The tones around the flower are too near that of your subject so it gets lost in the background. The white on the flower is also kind of greyish which causes lots of detail to be lost. Highlight on the tip has all detail blown out from it, too. |

| very pretty...good focus. the top of the flower is a little washed out, but white is a hard color to shoot. |

| the flower is set off well by the leaves, and put in its floral context. I can't decide if the reflection off the left hand leaf makes a nice shadowy echo of the flower or confuses the viewers eye. It is nice how you can see the delicate texture of the petal and how it contrasts with the forceful stamen |

| Beautiful. White is hard to photograph well but you nailed it. The DOF and composition are great :) |
