I'm in love with this chicken. This is the second time I've been to the farm, this time expressly to take a picture of him. I have some more great shots but was convinced this was the way to go. If not, oh well...

Wow! Thanks for all the comments! Amazing. I had about 1 second to snap this before he settled down; not sure why he spazzed out the way he did. Unfortunately, I was about 10 feet away with my 75-300 lens on - thats why the feet are missing! Trust me - I didn't do it on purpose! Some people say over sharp some say not sharp enough - can't please everyone! Thanks again for all the comments!

Crop, blur, USM, highpass, brightness, sat, levels, convert, save for web. Not in that order.

wonderful expression. Makes you wonder what's beyond the frame on the left. I, actually, would like to see further onto the left and maybe his feet as well, but with a shot like this you don't get to choose the framing too much I think. Well done /9

a little unsharp and a vertical format would have worked better 5

great shot of the rooster. almost looks like its ready to attack :). What happened to the legs though?

If only he had legs...
Crop off his tail and tighten down to his head may help. Pretty funny anyway.

I love the pose (which the title nicely emphasizes), but a sharper focus / higher shutter speed would have helped make this image really stand out. I find the aggressive crop at the bottom a bit distracting. A little more negative space to the left would have been nice.

What a great capture ! Very few of the other images have implied a sense of emotion or expression as well as this one has. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of this rooster's wrath, unless I had a roasting pan ! Good luck :)

Cool and bizarre! I like it. Don't care for the drumsticks being cropped out, but good overall.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a chicken do that!! Good detail on the feathers. Could have maybe cropped the photo a little bit tighter on the top and at the left. I like the bit of motion blur on the tips of his wings as he waves them.

This roostser definitely looks like the title! He has an anthropomorphic look about him and the expression of this bird rocks! Taken at the right moment; I like the cropping out of the legs; I can almost picture human feet under him...8

Absolutely hilarious! The title says it all... I never realized they had so many totally different textures of feathers on them! Perfect timing on this shot! Congrats!
