Another shot that got hammered by the "bird headshot lovers". I had this pegged for top-10, maybe even top-5. Probably one of the best composed images of the challenge. Ignore the comments about tighter crops. It's perfect just the way it is. I can't believe the number of 5's (83!!!) that this image received. Keep up the excellent work. |

I like this picture alot. I like the soft backround, the clarity of the foreground and what appears to be fog on the water at lands edge.. Add in the black swans with their red bills and it adds very nicely. Caught my eye. |

Wish the birds were closer. A little more of the birds and less scenery, especially the way thay are posed. |

Wish the swans took up more of the image. I like the kind of heart shape they make. |

How much did you pay them to pose like that? Great shot! |

Having been raised around fowl of all kinds (including white & black swans), I really appreciate this image. I love the way that the swans necks seem to create a natural heart. The Australian black swans' mating rituals are truly poetic in their rituals and the permutations of movement they create. The swans look like they may have been a little overprocessed (on their edges), but the clarity of the overhead leaves and the softness of the background work very well. VERY nice shot! Congrats & good luck! (8)

I love how they almost create a heart. Would like them zoomed in a tad more. Nice contrast. I like the softness of the background. |

I like the way their necks form a heart, I would like to maybe see them a little closer with less background, just my opinion though. |

This certainly tells a story. How romantic a setting. |

You captured this at the perfect moment! Composition is superb and colours are very good with no overbearing blown-out highlights. This is going to do very well. |

Tighter crop would have made this outstanding |
