Depth of focus really works here. Composition is interesting..the shadowy trees seem almost to come to life...add to that hints of religion..ahh yes darkness .Darkness is not obvious enough for the voters. Nice shot. |

From where?
What type of darkness?
What emotion should it be eliciting? |

Good tones mid-tones and a quality B&W. Natural framing appears fine. Shallow depth of field (DOF) still shows christian church detail in background.
It is not immediately apparent what this abstract is about. Therefore many viewers will not relate to it and will vote it lower as a result.
It is hard to tell but there appears to be an overexposed area to the left of the church. Viewers would like more clues about what this image means.
From a pure photographic standpoint it might be better if the focus on the cement structure in the foreground were absolutely razor sharp. The focus here seems a little soft.

It has to much blur, and I can't see clearly were is the darkness approaching. |

I am not sure if I understand this image...what I find distrubing is the object on the lower frame edge....as it does not do anything for the composition of this image. sorry about the low score of score, (4) I believe you need to think out better how to approuch your subject. |
