"And two tiny crosses in the distance were all to be had..."

what is this?!

I think the crosses are reflected in .... an eyeball? The quotation is biblical, from Matthew, regarding the crucifixion, which of course is the point of your image, but I still feel I haven't got your whole message (possibly my monitor is just TOO dark!). I'll return, but for now it's a 7 for a poignant, thoughtful entry. Back ... still 7. Good luck!

Why not just a black rectangle? It would be just as meaningless.

I don't know if it's my monitor or what, but all I see are three little white crosses. sorry... 3

Very dark image, both actually and conceptually. Great concept. Meets the challenge exceptionally well. Ironically the blacks are not solidly black on my screen (which is well adjusted using a Spyder calibrator, btw) which makes it appear slightly washed out. Looks like it retains color noise that you might want to remove. Hard to say how you could display all the very dark detail in the image that prople could still see the eye and surroundings but you could try selective color where you blacken the blacks and whiten the whites just enough to give it a little more contrast but preserve the dark nature of the image. Good job here.

I think I need to adjust my monitor, I'm not seeing much here.

It's too dark I don't see anything..try to light some parts I think it'll be a great shot! really!

can't see anything but the crosses. if they are the subject, a closer shot would've worked better IMO.

i would have liked this to be a tad brighter, it's a strain to make it out. very interesting idea.
