 Actually it's by the pond in my neighborhood park. I went there to shoot swarms of cute, fuzzy baby ducks, but couldn't resist this dark bird with the sun on the water behind it.

Cropped
Adjusted Brightness curve to make the bird completely black.
Adjusted Lab curve to give the water a turquoise tint.
Cloned out a white speck on the bird.

i like the blue toning. i like the little motion in the leg. i wish the shot wasn't so tight, as the textures of the land and water are very interesting and hard to enjoy with the bird taking up so much of the frame-5
