I agree about the angle of the shot, for the purpose of putting the head against full sky. Other than that, this is truly a beautiful shot that I like very much. I disagree about the foreground being too busy...I like to see a little detail and some interest there myself. The mood of the shot is very solitary, even though we know of course that he's not there alone!

Lovely. Even though the horizon is in the centre of the frame, this is by no means detracts from the photo. It's slightly distracting for the horizong to go through the head of the photographer - maybe a lower vantage point would have helped. The colour and texture make this shot.

You get the lucky 1000th comment.

I like this shot and gave it a 7
my main critisism is that the foreground is a little busy. If you could have got a little lower and put your subject higher up the sky line in my humble opinion this would have made this shot much better. The sky has some lovely colours, and you have managed to bring them out really well with little editing. The birds in the sea add a little interest to the shot but i wouldn't say they were essential. Horizon is nice and level and the angle of the shoreline takes you through the picture.
Overall a very nice job and probably deserved to place higher than it did.
Good luck with all your future challenges, and i look forward to you becoming a member in the future.

Recursive, or self-referential?! would have been better if the person's silhouette had bisected the horizon. Nice colours and composition, though. 5.

Very pretty sky, but the foreground is too muddy for me. Not interesting enough for a high score. 5

Beautiful shot. The title seems a bit ubsurd, two exclamation marks? The horzion might be better on one of the rule of thirds. Maybe crop more off the bottom? Lovely silhouette

HA HA Love the title. I think it fits the criteria just fine. The relfection in the sand is nice.
