I like the composition and the narrow crop on the elephant. However, the lighting seems to be not so good. There are white highlights on the ears and the tusk.

This is a wonderful texture shot. Very well done. Colors are good, exposure is just right so that we can still see every wrinkle. I think you did a very good job with this shot -8

I guess you were trying to exclude bits of the surroundings, but I find the missing trunk and leg distracting. Would much rather have seen this in portrait orientation. Otherwise, excellent focus and exposure (a little blowout on the tusk is not a showstopper). The elephant has great texture. Open eye might have been better. Very good, overall.

Would benefit from a tighter crop on the left, I think.

Hm....why crop his big ole trunk? I like the look, pose and composition - just wish I could see a tiny bit more. 9

Good portrait. I love these big packies! The upper left is a little distraction...easily corrected. Shot is soft, could be more crisp, sharp.
I do think it's good. This could be made into a very attractive print, go for it. Nice job.

This looks like one of those fabled "white elephants" or maybe he's just dirty. Great job.

Good title, very fitting. The shallow DOF makes your elephant stand out a lot more. Pity his eye is closed though although that doesn't reduce the quality of this image.
