CC: A fantastic subject choice. Great framing to get this close. Wonderful lighting. Need to find a better/ less scrappy looking leaf though. This has wonderful potential if you can find the perfect subject with the same lighting. Also, I wonder if framing the spine not quite on the main diagonal would be more effective so that the shot has a 1/3rd one side/ 2/3rds the other side arrangement, rather than perfectly split the way you currently have it. Great ideas. |

Cool. I like the little touch of the brown blemishes. It would be boring without them. The colours and textures are nice. Overall it's a little bit boring though. |

This is truly an unbelievable shot - great concept, focus - however, I am torn because I want to say it would be better without the imperfections in the leaf itself - but I believe it actually adds to the photo to showing it is real and natural. Great job and good luck in the challenge:) |

Choice capture, that green with the light shining through looks amazing! The angle you chose is very effective.

This would've been really cool if you could've gotten an umblemished one, for the sake of being photogenic. The textures and colors are all well portrayed in this picture. |

Nice, but the leaf imperfections spoil its symmetry. |

This is really a nice shot. The light, and color are wonderful as is the composition. I have one small negative remark. It's the dings in the leaf. In photography a flaw that is natural, -normal or small --- becomes HUGE. It's right where the eye lands.

Beautiful lines and great lighting for this image. Nice detail and sharpness, too. The brown spots (although) natural are pretty distracting since they are in such contrast in many ways to the leaf. |

I love the detail in this photo... very nice macro. Good composition, and I'm glad you didn't pick a perfect leaf as those little blemishes add to the photo. Very nicely done. |

This is a wondrful macro, but I feel that it would be much stronger if you had found a perfect leaf. The little flaws etract from it a lot , at least for me. 6 |

Backlighting helps this leaf come to life. Nice use of line and texture, too. |
